Urinal Drainage Maintenance
Scale build-up in urinals can be caused by minerals in the water used to flush the system. More commonly, it is made up of deposits of uric salt crystals from urine. Over time this causes urinals to clog or slow to drain.
All Stores with Urinals, Store GM’s are responsible for ensuring that stores perform drain treatment every two weeks on the urinal drain.
Area Ops Managers are responsible for ensuring adherence to this policy.
Drain treatment is to be done as final action by store closing crew when no additional water will be introduced to drains.
The required cleaner, Drano Max Gel, shall be added to urinal by closing crew and be allowed to sit overnight in urinal.
